Alb Flight

Submitted by Mike Carr:
Twenty years after the project began, the replica OEFFAG Albatros D.III Series 253 built by Koloman Mayrhofer finally took to the air for the first time in April from an airfield near Munich. Here’s a video of the first couple of flights: Note: For some reason the photobucket video plays only periodically. There may be a usage limit on that account. Please try again later if it does not work for you.

Austro-Hungarian Flight

Take a look at the only example of an Austro-Hungarian aircraft currently flying. Incredibly, the engine is an original 1917 Austro-Daimler which had been kept in storage since its manufacture and thus had zero hours on it! This is from the The Vintage Aviator Collection page on Facebook. They are always posting great stuff.
